By train along the North Wales Coast line, Arriva Trains and Virgin Northwest to Bangor (Gwynedd).

By coach, National Express services run to Bangor and Caernarfon from London and Manchester. Arriva operate the service from South Wales to Caernarfon as part of the TrawsCambria network
By Car
From the North West along the M56 and A55 to Bangor and then the A4244. From the Midlands and the South of England, the A5 from Shrewsbury to Capel Curig then the A4086 is a scenic route.

- Llanberis to Caernarfon / Caernarfon to Llanberis, half hourly service. Bus No. 88.
- Llanberis to Bangor / Bangor to Llanberis. Bus No. 85
Sherpa Bus service www.gwynedd.gov.uk/timetables is a super-convenient way to travel to the starting points of paths up Snowdon. The single journey costs £2.50.
From 1st January – 23rd March 2018, the S2 bus service from Llanberis to Pen-y-Pass leaves at 7:30 (schooldays) 8:00 (Sat, Sun & school holidays), 10:00, 12:00, 14:30, 16:30.
The last two buses back from Pen-y-Pass to Llanberis depart at 16:10, 18:05.
In summer, the S2 service from Llanberis to Pen-y-Pass leaves on the hour, every hour.
Red Rover Ticket
The Red Rover all-day bus ticket provides unlimited travel on all bus networks in Gwynedd and on Anglesey (Ynys Môn). Prices: £6.80 Adult £3.40 Child. The ticket can be used until 23:59 on:
> buses numbered 1 to 99 (inc. the X1) in the Gwynedd timetables, Snowdon Sherpa, Anglesey timetables and service 19 in the Conwy timetables
> routes T2 to/from Aberystwyth
> route T3 to/from Wrexham

Traveline’s contact centre agents, based in Penrhyndeudraeth, North Wales, are available between 7am – 8pm daily, throughout the year. They provide limited service on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
